I have been dusting off the tools and doing some jewelry making again. I have really been enjoying working with leather. Below are some pics of recent creations.

You had me at Wrestling.......
Sounds weird right. I am a full on Football Mom. I am talking bling wearing, pom pom bearing, football mom. My oldest son however is a a wrestler. He is passionate about the sport. I was searching for a gorgeous line of sports jewelry to offer our football Moms, and I stumbled across designer Rachel Miller, based in Westlake, CA. Not only did she have the most beautiful sports jewelry I have ever seen, no cheap bling here. This is all designed by her. With triple layered metals (18K gold or rhodium) and all hand set sworovski crystals, it is gorgeous. When I saw her line in person I was floored, the pictures I had seen do not do it justice. But then.....she showed me the wrestling headgear she had designed. There isn't much jewelry for the wrestling fan. It is positively beautiful. I was planning on buying a few pieces on spec, and offering them at our homecoming event. I decided right then and there, that I wanted to rep this line. She cares so much about the design and quality of each piece. I pick them up at her home, and deliver them to my customers. Small, I know, but I have no doubt this business will grow. I have always enjoyed making jewelry. I get inspired by colors, patterns, and especially vintage brooches, chains, and medals. I am hoping to sell my designs at home shows and boutiques this year. Let me know what you think, your comments are welcomed!
I have designed not a single thing since I started consulting again. Inspiration tends to come in spurts for me, maybe in the summer time when work is slower. (I am praying that it won't be slow though! :)
