Summer Memories to treasure

The countdown is on till my boys (three oldest) come home from their East Coast adventure. Who knew I would miss them soooo much. One week I was gone on business, that one went fast. This week is ticking by at the pace of a snail. My house is quiet, no chaos, groceries are lasting forever, it is sooooo strange. Who knew a gallon of milk could last for 4 days?????

My youngest has watched "Hairspray" about a thousand times. "Good Morning Baltimore" is stuck in my head, having heard it 5000 times. It is no fun, having the older boys gone. They are enjoying good times with family, memories with Grandma & cousins, and Aunts & Uncles, but Nick, Jeff and I are truly missing them.

My hope is that my in-laws are enjoying the time with all of them. It is a big undertaking having four boys, 24x7. My husband is a little worried about his Mom handling all of those boys. We feel blessed that she is willing and able to take on a grandson extravaganza like this. Hopefully this trip hasn't soured her optimism. We are blessed, that is for sure. My sons are having an experience they will forever remember and treasure. Grandparents are a wonderful gift.

Networking can be expensive!

I went to a cool women's networking meeting the other night. It was with an organization called Heartlink . It was at some one's house. An awesome dinner was served. Tables set, lovely hospitality, and about 20 very interesting women were there. We each got 3 minutes to introduce ourselves and tell a bit about our business's. Most of the women knew each other already. Many of the women present had business's that sell through direct marketing. Most of the big ones were represented, and a few new ones I had never heard of but found interesting. There were also women with other business's like insurance, legal services, printing, etc... It is great to meet like minded people, and I can definitely see the benefits of attending regularly. The bad part however, is it leaves you wanting to go shopping! All of a sudden, I MUST have the new mango cutter from Pampered Chef, and I am yearning to freshen up my candles, and I NEED a hole new wardrobe from CABi . ...

The Sky is Blue

I want to thank all of you who lift my family up in prayer.  I thank all of you who give us encouragement.  I try really hard to see the cup 1/2 full, and most days I do.  I was feeling a little down last night, but today is a new day.  Blue skies remind me of how much I am loved.  Have an awesome day friends. And.....on a side note.... Go Viewpoint Patriots!!! We are in the playoffs! Wooo Hoooooo!

I believe

I believe....... That marriage is a lifetime gig That it is up to us to take care of those in need, through families, churches, relationships, etc... That family is serious business, parenthood is a gift, a treasure, something to take dead dog serious. That I have a right, and a responsibility to protect my family and those who can't protect themselves, from would be criminals, and anyone else who is attempting to infringe on our rights as stated in our constitution. I believe that without faith in God, and a conscious decision to submit to him, people are lost in a pool of ever changing self centered nonsense, and are subject to what ever the politically correct, hip, educated mantra of the year is. Stuff is awesome, shiny cars, flashy jewels, exotic vacations, are all delightful--- for a little while--then when the shiny wears off, and the financial impact starts hurting--- the result is damage to the most important thing--- family, and submission to God. I bel...
